Pro Route League – Gameweek 6 Preview
By Adeshina Muiz Opeyemi
The Pro Route League moves into Gameweek 6 after an action-packed round of fixtures in Gameweek 5. FC Zeus ended Ka’ah’s unbeaten run, Barrier SC picked up an emphatic away win, while HOPA stunned defending champions KFA. Here’s what to expect this week:
Harmony City FA vs Skillz FC
Harmony City were held to a 2–2 draw by DollyP SA last week, leaving them still searching for consistency. Sitting in the lower half, they need wins to climb the table.
Skillz FC also shared points in their 2–2 draw with Young Antlers. They’ve shown plenty of attacking quality but remain shaky at the back. With both sides evenly matched, this promises to be another end-to-end encounter.
KFA vs Gaa Akanbi FC
The defending champions continue to struggle, with KFA falling 2–0 to HOPA in Gameweek 5. Still yet to find rhythm, this is a must-win to stay in touch with the leaders.
Gaa Akanbi also had a disappointing outing, losing 3–0 at home to Barrier SC. Both teams come into this clash wounded, making it a high-stakes game where neither can afford another slip.
Barrier SC vs DollyP SA
Barrier SC announced themselves in style with a commanding 3–0 win away to Gaa Akanbi. That result pushed them up the table and gave them momentum.
DollyP SA, meanwhile, were pegged back in a 2–2 draw with Harmony City. With ambition to stay near the top, they’ll be aiming for all three points here. Expect a tight contest between two confident sides.
La Planet FC vs FC Zeus
La Planet edged City Boys 3–2 last week, showcasing their attacking edge once again. Sitting close to the summit, they’ll see this as an opportunity to build more momentum.
But FC Zeus pulled off the shock of the round, beating Ka’ah 1–0 to end their unbeaten streak. With confidence high, Zeus will back themselves against anyone. This is set up to be one of the standout clashes of the week.
Ka’ah FC vs Young Antlers FC
Ka’ah FC were stunned in a 1–0 defeat to FC Zeus — their first loss of the campaign. Still near the top of the table, they’ll be keen to bounce back immediately.
Young Antlers, on the other hand, battled Skillz FC to a 2–2 draw. After a shaky start to the season, they are beginning to show resilience. With Ka’ah hungry to respond and Antlers improving, this fixture should be fiery.
City Boys FC vs HOPA FA
City Boys gave everything but narrowly lost 3–2 to La Planet, leaving them rooted near the bottom. Defensive lapses continue to haunt them, and they’ll need a big response.
HOPA, however, are buzzing after a 2–0 victory over champions KFA. That result has given them belief as they push into the top half of the table. On paper, HOPA are favorites, but City Boys will fight hard for pride and survival.
